Disposable Capillary Units (DCU) of various diameters may be ordered depending on the goals of the project. DCUs are available at three standard IDs: 20 μm (±20%), 50 μm (±15%) and 100 μm (±10%). They are made from either thick (K) or thin (N) walled borosilicate capillaries with filament. Custom IDs are available on request. The inner diameter of a DCU approximately corresponds to a size of the acquisition area. The acquisition area may vary depending on the used vacuum duration and strength. For the collection of cells from adherent cultures 50 μm DCUs are recommended. DCUs are sold in packages of 6.
