Phos-tag™ Acrylamide is a functional molecule that binds specifically phosphorylated ions.
It is applicable for the specific separation of phosphorylated proteins.

Phos-tag™ is a novel phosphate-binding tag at neutral pH* (physiological pH) and was developed by Department of Functional Molecular Science at Hiroshima University.

Wako Distributes specific electrophoretic procedure for the simultaneous analysis of a phosphoprotein isoform and its non-phosphorylated counterpart Manganese (II)-Phos-tag™ SDS-PAGE.
(*: It is in case of Phos-tag™-Zn²⁺. On the other hand, the stable pH is around 9 in case of Phos-tag™-Mn²⁺.)

Features:

• Recognition of all phosphorylated forms of Tyr/ Ser / Thr
• Simultaneous detection of phosphorylated / non-phosphorylated proteins without against the phosphorylated protein.
• Simply add Phos-tag™ Acrylamide and MnCl₂ solution^*2 to acrylamide solution in the preparation of SDS-PAGE gel.
  (*: Add 5.0 mM Phos-tag&tade Acrylamide Aqueous Solution and 10 mM MnCl₂ solution in equal amount in the gel since one Phos-tag™ binds to two manganese ions (Mn²⁺).
